Google Cash / GoogleCash |
Google cash is one of
the fastest growing internet opportunities to make money on the web. You
don't even need to have a website to profit from GoogleCash. So what is
Google cash?
Simply put, you become an affiliate for a web site or product. Most affiliate programs will give you a special link that they can use to track sales and traffic that came from your web site. You simply create a Google AdWord to drive traffic and sales to that link. Google Cash is the difference in your affiliate commission and the cost of generating that sale.
Let's start with the basics. If you don't know what an Adword is, you simply bid on a keyword on Google and your ad will display whenever someone types in that keyword. For a more detailed description, click here. I will also discuss how to create and tune your ad on the AdWord Tips page.
What is an affiliate? In essence, companies will pay you a commission for sending someone to their site that makes a purchase. I have a short list of some affiliates here and tell you how to find other affiliates.
First, you can create an ad that uses your affiliate link. Here is a sample AdWord using an Amazon affiliate link for the Keywords "yoga workout video"
Yoga Workout Videos
Over 20 discounted Yoga
Videos at Amazon!
http://www.amazon.com
Anytime someone clicks on the ad above, it takes them to the DVD section of Amazon and displays all the yoga workout items. Amazon lets you link to any page on their site or directly to any product or search term. If anyone clicks on the ad and ends up purchasing a video from Amazon, I would end up making 5% of the total sale. With Amazon's affiliate program, a cookie is placed on the users machine so you actually get 5% of all purchases made by that user over the next 30 days. If you paid $0.05 to get a user to click on the ad, then you probably made some money. With AdWords, you only pay for clicks, but of course not every user who clicks your ad will make a purchase. This is where you have to test the waters to see exactly how much money you can make. If 10% of the people that click your ad make a purchase, then you are making money, but if only 1% click on the ad, you may not make money. I will talk about ad tuning to help you optimize your sales on the AdWord tips page.
This method works great if you don't have a web site and with certain affiliates like eBay or Amazon where you can control what appears with your affiliate link.
The problem with buying an AdWord and putting your link directly in the ad is you are limited in what you can sell in that one ad since you can only have one link and you can't control what all of your web sites have on their pages. You might be better at getting sales conversions than the actual company you are an affiliate with.
The second way to use Adwords to earn cash, which I prefer, is to create a simple one page web site and offer a few links to similar sponsors. For example, NetDectective is a software program that lets you look up information on people. I won't go through their sales pitch, but if you do a Google search on Net Detective, you get lots of links to net detective through Google AdWords and these are all people looking to make Google Cash, but You could create a Google ad that says:
Top
5 On-line Detective Programs
Avoid Scams! See a review and
compare on-line dective programs.
http://www.yoursite.com
You then create a simple one page site that gives a paragraph or so description of the other on line detective programs out there like Data Hound or U.S. Search. You can pull most of the information from their web site. This allows you to play around with the wording and figure out how to get more sales for every click you get with your Google AdWord. It also increase the opportunity for a sale because you are offering more products and by giving comparison information, it sales will usually increase. The more personal and informative the review, the better.
You can always carry this one page web site one step further and create a whole site full of affiliate links. If you take this extra step, then be sure to check out the rest of the advertisers and sponsor pages on this site. You may even start hosting Google Ad words on our site to make even more money.
This method also benefits you because Google will only display one ad for the same domain, so if you are competing against another person trying to make make money, if their click-through rate is higher than yours, your ad won't display. (See the AdWord tips page for information about this). If you have a separate site with a different domain that links to your affiliate, your ad will still display.
It's all about finding the right affiliates to partner with and creating ads on Google. It kind of reminds me of of that Don Lapore on the late night infomercials that use to say make money by placing tiny little ads ............... Sorry, it just kind of makes me laugh. I think he was probably a little sleazy, but placing those tiny little AdWords ads can make you money on the web.
